Our Story
In 2020, property managers across the country couldn’t keep up. The labor shortage and supply chain disruptions had already stretched maintenance thin, and the pandemic didn’t create that problem — it exposed one the industry had been living with for years. Lula stepped in with a vendor network and sourcing model that gave residents and property managers real relief, and that disruption became our opening to rebuild property maintenance from the ground up.
Once we found where we were needed most and committed fully to servicing rental properties, the business grew fast. Over the last five years, we’ve gone from a small team to nearly 100 employees, grown revenue 10x, and expanded to more than 50 markets and counting. That growth shows up in the numbers other people track, too: Lula has landed on the Inc. top 1000 list of fastest-growing companies four consectuive times and Kansas City Business Journal’s Fast 50 five consecutive times. Ingram’s Magazine has named us one of Kansas City’s 10 fastest-growing companies three years running, and PropTech Breakthrough has recognized us three times as well, most recently as the 2026 Property Management Solution of the Year. The Kansas City Business Journal named Lula a Best Place to Work for 2026, and EY named our CEO a finalist for Heartland Entrepreneur of the Year in 2024.
